Before
After
There are a few different techniques to creating a 3-Dimensional image on Photoshop CS5. For beginner Photoshop users I will share an easy way to create a fun 3D image.10 Easy to Follow Steps:
Step 1: Open the image you wish to use in Photoshop. (I chose a picture of my sister I had taken in regards for this tutorial.)
Step 2: Duplicate the layer.
Step 3: Click on the create new fill or adjustment layer button. (looks like a half black and half white circle.)
Step 4: Select "Curves" and switch the RGB to "red" and enter the numbers "0"for the output and "251" for the input.
Step 5: click enter and you will notice that the icon for that layer has turned blue. Label this layer "blue".
Step 6: Duplicate the original layer once again and follow step 3 again.
Step 7: Select "Curves" again but this time switch the RGB to "Green" and enter the same numbers (0 and 251 for the input and output).
Step8: On the same layer, change the RGB to "Blue" and change the input and output numbers to 0 and 251. Label this layer "Red".
Step 9: Click the "Blue" layer and change the blending mode to screen.
Step 10: Click the move tool (usually top right corner, arrow and triangle image) and use your arrow keys or drag the image left or right.
Play with the image until you are satisfied and enjoy your newly learned technique with creating a 3-Dimensional image!
Good Luck :)
